Have an Energy Audit and Retrofit!
Pepco is rolling out a new energy conservation program to subsidize the cost of energy audits, so homeowners will pay only $100 per audit. The program also offers a 15% subsidy on the costs of implementing the recommended improvements from the audit.
Other existing programs that offset the retrofitting costs are a $250 property tax credit from Montgomery County, and a 30% federal tax credit.
